Black Friday deal edition
Hey folks, instead of waiting until Friday for this week’s newsletter, I’m sending it out early for a couple of reasons:
- Pretty much all the Black Friday deals we were expecting have been now announced.
- I’m trying to minimize how much work I need to do later in the week.
Let’s do a quick roundup:
Streaming service deals
- Hulu: One year with ads for $1 per month. Add six months of Starz for an extra $1 per month. You may also be able to bundle Disney+ for $2 per month extra at checkout. (New and returning subscribers.)
- HBO Max: Six months with ads for $3 per month. (New and returning subscribers.)
- Peacock: 12 months with ads for $2 per month, or one year for $20. (New and returning subscribers.)
- Roku Premium Subscriptions start at $1 per month for two months, including Starz, MGM+, Lifetime Movie Club, and more.
- Amazon Prime Video Channels subscriptions are 25% off for two months.
- Paramount+: Just keep using free coupon codes. The latest are COLIN, DELACALLE, or CHALLENGE39.
- Philo: First month for $12.50. (New subscribers only.)
- Criterion Channel: One year for $75 with code MOVIES. (New subscribers only.)
- FuboTV: $55 per month (plus regional sports fees) for two months. (New subscribers only.)
Note that these deals cannot be added to an active subscription, which is why I suggested cancelling things a couple months ago. If you want to take advantage of the above deals but still have an active subscription, consider cancelling it now and signing up again with a secondary or masked email address. You may have some overlap but will save money in the long run.
Streaming device deals
- Fire TV Stick (HD) for $20, the new Fire TV Stick 4K for $25, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $40, and the Fire TV Cube for $110.
- Roku Streaming Stick 4K for $30, Roku Express 4K+ for $25, or Roku Ultra for $69.

- Costco members: Apple TV 4K (third-gen) for $100.

Buy this, not that
